As we head into this summer of 2025, the Canadian electronic music scene is getting ready to make it one heck of an electrifying one, with a mix of mega-festivals, intimate forest gatherings, and avant-garde showcases set to take place from coast to coast.

And one of the jewels in the crown is Lesson in Montreal, as the festival is returning to Parc Jean-Drapeau with heavy-hitting headliners such as Millennium and John Summit, bringing a stacked roster across three amazing stages.

Toronto kicks up the energy with the VELD Music Festival (Aug. 1–3 at Downsview Park). It's Canada's premier EDM festival, showcasing elite DJs across house, techno, trance, and bass music. Veld Music Festival Electric Island, on Aug. 30-31 in Toronto, touts a more boutique state of mind with rising acts like Adria Tique and Tin Licker.

B.C. delivers with hidden gems like the Shambhala Music Festival, located in the heart of a picturesque family farm in Salmo. The four-day change-your-life experience is an independent gem known for its immersive nature.
